Rich Man from Hell

              

Rich Man from Hell.

The story of the Rich man and Lazarus is not a parable,

But a true story, like Cain and His brother Abel.

Jesus spoke more about the reality of Hell, 

Then of Paradise, where the Saints do Dwell.

The rich man went to hell, not because he was wealthy,

Nor did Lazarus go to Paradise, being so poorly.

But Jesus did mention, on the snare of Riches.

" Love of Money " has driven many to ditches.

He lived a life, with an  outward show.

Realizing not, to judgment he would go.

'Eat, drink, be merry ', was his purpose in Life.

Despised God and His ways, in the daily strive.

Rich man a believer, acquainted with Scriptures,

Walked on Broadway, indulging in sinful nature.

His marriage was tainted, yeah with Adultery.

Cared less,  What God said on Morality.

In flames, None could reach to quench his thirst.

He had thought it folly, to keep the Kingdom first.

He realized now, that he had nowhere to go.

Heaven to Hell, there was no "To and Fro".

He didn't want his brothers, to land up there.

They tread the path of Sin, Eternal agony share.

Though their funeral would have the Church Bells

He was sure they'd come, to abide in fiery Hell.

His own destiny now, none could change.

His brothers had a chance, short this range.

He knew, to avoid this place of torment.

One thing was needed, they have to Repent.

Wanted a man from Heaven, to warn of this place.

One day from the earth, they would be displaced.

This would certainly, shake their fraternity.

Lest they spend in Hell, their awful Eternity.

Scriptures on earth have the power to turn them around.

Could be liberated, from the things they were bound.

God has sent forth His Word, that man may heed.

Else one day, one pays for their sinful deed.
