Robe of Righteousness

 Robe of Righteousness.

I walked in darkness, in transgression multitude.

Treading this path, with a prideful attitude.

Walking with a form of religiosity.

Devoid of all, real Spirituality.

My friend did invite me to a gospel Meet.

The Best day of Life, Oh, What a treat

Father, accepted me, just the way, I was.

Gave me the Robe and Jesus paid it all.

For my filthy rags, which my sin described.

'Righteousness of the Lord', on this Robe inscribed.

Jesus died, for a sinner like me.

Took my burdens and set me free.

Jesus died, for my justification.

Rose from the dead, now my sanctification.

Made me your temple, to dwell within.

To lead and guide, away from Sin.

In trials and temptations, when I stumble and fall,

Jesus your Blood, cleanse them all.

You taught me to confess and forsake.

Gave me your grace that my faith not shake.

This righteousness, not from law derived.

For it is a gift, no boasting survive.

Thank you, Lord, for this Robe that you gave.

Through faith in Christ, now I am saved.

Your Robe entitles, an entry to Heaven's gate.

Help me, Jesus, to walk by Faith.

For you taught me, Lord, to live Righteously.

In Life's situations, with joy Victoriously.
