Freedom from generational curses

Image
Freedom from generational curses The gospel often speaks of a life, which leads us to a life of freedom ( deliverance ) from the power of Sin, Satan, and the world. Instead of focussing on the real freedom ( John 8:32 - whom the Son sets free, he shall be free indeed. Satan has deceived the believers and got them busy to break the bondage of curses.  Should a believer live under the fear of curses ? ? Why should we, when Christ has taken the consequences of our curses on the cross? What a pity it would be if a child of God ( who does not want to continue in sin - Rom 6:1) is living under the guilt of his past sins. (or yesterday's sins ) . What would be the remedy in this case? Jesus is the answer - He died for our sins. ( Gal 1:4,2 cor 5:21,1 pet 3:18, Rom 5:8). Jesus is the answer If the answer to the past sins problem is Jesus who died on the cross. Then We must also know that He is the answer to our curses? He took our curses on the cross. ( Gal 3:13) Paul asked the ...

Aunty Severine

Image
Aunty Severine Aunty Severina, was Born again  In her ripe old age, of early 80's She made Jesus her Lord Though she passed her 70's She brought up her children,  without making noise. And advised them,  to make the right choice. Her children were kind   And loving to their mother. Who showered much love,  In the absence of their father. She was convinced,  that she needed the Saviour. The one who died ,  And Loved her so dear She obeyed the Lord in Waters of Baptism. Leaving the past , Of ritual mechanism. To the idols , she stopped praying, Knowing that Jesus, was within staying. She was taken for a holiday  to the Middle East. Her daughter cared the most ,  often held feasts. Like most of us, she faced at times rejections. Being human, She encountered dejections. But the Lord was her Helper , God's people helped to keep the faith. Finally, when the days seemed all done. She died in the house, near her loving son By God's g...

Satan's scheme.

Image
Satan schemes against the Saints . This article is for those walking in the light ( Eph 5:8 ) to the righteous ones made righteous by faith in Christ Jesus and  walking in righteousness. ( 1 John 3:7 ). What are Satan's tactics towards those who seek to walk a life that is pleasing in God's sight? ( Col 1:10 ) . Is temptation Sin? NO. Temptation is common to the sinner and the saint alike.  Often saints need to remind themselves that Temptation is not sin.  Satan is the accuser of the brethren,  when he fails in trapping some in the carnal sins, he causes such to slow down by condemning them. So the person who treads the highway of holiness thinks that he has sinned when he is tempted. We need to remind ourselves that even Jesus was tempted since He came in the flesh like ours. Temptation is not sin, but yielding to temptation is sin. A person desiring to walk in the Ways of the Lord can be attacked by Satan to make the person feel guilty and condemned even t...

Jesus on social media.

Image
Jesus on Social Media . If Jesus was on Social media, And had  an account on Facebook, Millions would be His friend, "F ew seek His face  or read His Book." He would receive millions of Likes, To His fabulous teachings. But few would  rather choose, His practical preachings. If Jesus was on Instagram, Millions would, Him follow. About carrying their cross? Would prefer, a life that's shallow. If He was there on YouTube, Many would come, Only for favors. But would soak in channels,  In the "entertainment flavor." Many would like,  to tweet Him, Only their prayer request. The tweeting of His Spirit, It would be a conscience  quest If they knew, Jesus is not bound, In territorials,  Geography. They would have,  long repented, of watching Pornography. Many are addicted to the world, of entertainment. Thus have no interest, in the  Spiritual Attainments. They drink from worldly well and are thirsty again. Many are entangled, Who Once, ...

Sadness - Worry - Anxiety-Depression

Image
Sadness-Worry-Anxiety-Depression . This is a  common symptom we have all encountered, at some time or the other in our Life. COVID-19 brought these things to the forefront and many acknowledged that these things are real and they need to be addressed. How can a  Child of God, overcome these things, do the scriptures speak about them. Jesus spoke about it very plainly. What is the way out ?. Jesus is the greatest problem, solver: He said " Come unto me all you that are heavy laden ….'.  ( Matt 11:28) No matter what is the state of our problems is, we can always come to Jesus, just the way we are and we can be assured that He will never cast us out ( John 6:37 ).  Remember all those who came to Jesus, no matter what sickness they had, they were healed and delivered by Him.( Matt 4:23 ). Cast your cares upon Him - ( 1 pet 5:7 ) . If the burden of worry is weighing you down, then take your burdens to the Lord, He is well able to take care of your fears, worries, heavine...

26 years of Faithfulness

Image
26 years of Togetherness .   Thank you, Jesus, for the gift of a Godly wife. Else Life would be different, this earthly Life. You Reserved Sylvia, a perfect Gift from above. You brought us together and taught us to Love. A True and genuine Love, not as the world teaches. In movies and serials, artificial it preaches. Without You, Marriage would be empty and vain. We know our lives, would be one long drain. Made of Dust, we are not yet perfect,  You're changing us, as we look back, Reflect. At times were winds and dark storms. Jesus in our Life instilled new forms. You made Sylvia, Kind, patient, and forbearing. Seen her in life, to the inlaws she's caring. Her deep desire: 'That Children walk in God's ways'  For that alone, is the secret for Happy Days. Jesus, you made her beautiful, within and without. Strengthen her faith, that we may never doubt. To be faithful always, in our Marriage Covenant. In sickness or pain without any Reservant. To Do your will...

Saved By Grace Alone( Poem)

Image
Saved by Grace Alone Thank you Jesus for dying for me. And saving me by your grace.  That I be saved from deadly snares,  Now by Faith, I run this race. You caused me to obey, in Waters of Baptism. This was not a form, of routine ritualism, Because of that day, Your light that Shone. Let me never forget, Saved by Grace alone. You did fill me, with your Holy Spirit. Empowered a witness,  Sin He convicts. Gave me the power, confirmed as your own. This is for sure, Saved by Grace alone. You taught me to store, your word within. Seek to please you, distance from sins. Judging my motives,  of darkness zone. Convinced of this, Saved by Grace Alone. Though at times, there were defeats  Some battles won, never retreat. Jesus you are, the chief cornerstone. A sure foundation, Saved by Grace Alone. Jesus, you taught me, To fear not the Devil. But to walk in the light, stay away from evil. Thy word is mightier than Man-made stone. Satan was defeated, I a...

Saved By Grace Alone (Article)

Image
Saved By Grace Alone How can a man receive Salvation from God ? Can a man have an assurance of eternal Life on this planet? Different people have different opinions. The standard response to attain salvation: " Do good works, this will get you, Heaven. If your good works outweigh the sins then there is a possibility of having eternal life." Consider this example. "If a man had murdered a person, he stands convicted with truthful proofs. Would he be set free because He has helped the poor or because he financed the needy and done multiple good works? Will the Law weigh one bad deed against his multiple good deeds? Will he not be punished for His sin? Therefore we see that even the human court does not sit with a weighing scale in order to pass judgment. How are we going to be judged? The Bible says that after death is the judgment (Heb 9:27). Are we going to be judged by human reasoning of good works? Though it may seem logical. We are going to...

Robe of Righteousness

Image
Robe of Righteousness . I walked in darkness, in transgression multitude. Treading this path, with a prideful attitude. Walking with a form of religiosity. Devoid of all, real Spirituality. My friend did invite me to a gospel Meet. The Best day of Life, Oh, What a treat Father, accepted me, just the way, I was. Gave me the Robe and Jesus paid it all. For my filthy rags, which my sin described. 'Righteousness of the Lord', on this Robe inscribed. Jesus died, for a sinner like me. Took my burdens and set me free. Jesus died, for my justification. Rose from the dead, now my sanctification. Made me your temple, to dwell within. To lead and guide, away from Sin. In trials and temptations, when I stumble and fall,  Jesus your Blood, cleanse them all. You taught me to confess and forsake. Gave me your grace that my faith not shake. This righteousness, not from law derived. For it is a gift, no boasting survive. Thank you, Lord, for this Robe that you gave. Through faith in C...

Note of Thanks to My Saviour - A poem

Image
A note of Thanks to My Saviour  Thank you Jesus for the Day, that I was Born. One day you called and took away the Scorn. The gift of Righteousness, thru Faith in Christ. And also Your Grace, to reign in Life Thank you, Dear Lord,  For the   Words of life. As listed in the beginning, Of Matthew chapter five.  The promise of Eternal life, though stained in Sin.  You gave me Armour, In the battle to Win.   While in darkness,  you called the 'unqualified' A sinner so lost, You said " Justified" Your work-in-progress,  called Sanctification. This passes understanding, Heavenly Glorification. I am thankful to the Father, for the prayers of the saints. In eternity will I know,  They have not been in Vain. Year after year, your goodness I do receive.  Little have I learned, much to perceive.  Thank you, Jesus, for Blessings never Late.  Because of you, I have two Birth-dates. Felix Fernandes

WDJS ( what would Jesus say )

Image
What would  Jesus say to the Youth. ? ......................... .Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. I Timothy 4:4‭, ‬12  Do the scriptures have any exhortations? Especially to the youth, in the new testament?  What did Jesus say to the young man, when he came running to Jesus, asking Him about Eternal life. Jesus told Him to keep the commandments. Would Jesus advise the same thing today to the youth who have believed in Him?  Many believers believe that,  if you have received Jesus in your heart (sincerely ) then it's all over, there is nothing more than evangelizing and tithing. But Paul spoke about the meat teaching after they had milk. ( 1 cor 3:2 ). Many believe that Jesus never asked us to keep any commandments as we are under grace.  Jesus himself said if you love me, keep my commandments. ( Jn 14:15 ) and Apostle John said after being a believer for m...
