Worldly or Godly celebrations ?

Image
Glorify God at the Weddings .     Dressing of the bride and the bridesmaid. Would you find a difference , from the bride wedding dress of a believer and an unbeliever.? Someone well said “ I looked for a church in the world but when I entered the church, I found the world in it” This statement is so true in the present days we live in. Worldliness is not spoken about, since many are not aware that one of the enemies that the church faces is the “ World”.  That is why we are exhorted not to Love the world nor things of the world …( 1 John 2:15). Few years back I heard about a catholic priest , who insisted that the ladies should dress up properly while coming to church, one even refused to conduct the wedding if the bride was immodestly dressed up.  What is the reason that many cannot see the immodesty in our dressing ? It's because of the influence of the world . We are all are a product of influence - whether it be good or bad. We can either be influenced by the wor...

The walls of Morality have fallen in the church

Image
Wickedness given a world platform but The walls of the temple have fallen Olympics a world event is watched by the world. Setting up a skit by the Lgbt community - on the Last supper has disturbed the Christian community. Surely this is an abomination.! What if their skit did not consist of the any biblical event. Would  the Christian community been disturbed that they have been given a platform to promote their belief ? No. It's because we have been used to hear / watch this community evangelize their doctrine and beliefs.  Infact even the a “ Christian “ college gave  them a platform in the college premises to talk to their students. What are we witnessing “ The walls have been torn down..” The temple has been defiled and its walls are broken down.Morality walls are fallen in the church…..the standards have been lowered as wickedness seems to spread its wings in the entire globe. Moral Walls  Which moral sin is more wicked in the sight of God ? Fornication...

A decision after being BornAgain

Image
Making a Decision : To belong to Jesus. An inward decision, that will be seen. An Important decision after being Born Again. [[3] ‘For I will pour water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, And My blessing on your descendants; [4] And they will spring up among the grass Like poplars by streams of water.’ 5] One will say, ‘I am the Lord’s’; Another will call himself by the name of Jacob; Another will write with his hand, ‘The Lord’s,’ And name himself by the name of Israel. ‭Isaiah 44:3-4 The work of the Spirit This is the prophecy, where Isiah prophesied for better days in the future, likened to the days of Pentecost.  The above verses speak about a revival among the people of God like the days of Pentecost, when God poured out His Spirit upon His people. Here we see the hearts of the people of God turning fervently towards the Lord, a firm commitment ( like a bride to the bridegroom - Rev 19:7-9)  to be faithf...

Self pity

Image
‭‭ One of the  Giants that we face, as we are in this flesh ( Rom 7:18), is self-pity. Jesus, Our Master , who came in the sinful flesh(Rom. 8:3) guarded himself against self-pity. Towards the end of His journey, He disclosed to His disciples the humiliation that he would face at the hands of the elders and chief priest. ( Matt 16:21 ). Peter was disturbed and felt pity for Jesus that he should be undergoing this, he told Him, this should not be so. Though Peter's intentions were humanly good towards Jesus. But Jesus who did His Father's will at all times, knowing that it was the Father's will to go through this, firmly rebuked Peter, who was now influenced by Satan. Jesus then spoke to Peter and all his disciples to be ready to die, if they desire to follow Him. (Matt 16:24 ). We see another instance in the life of our Saviour, who is our role model in life. While Jesus was carrying the tree towards Calvary. Some women felt pity for Jesus, as He was innocently going thro...

Signs of the end times : People @ church

Image
📖 The Bible speaks about the signs of the end times. For eg, it speaks of the happening of situations on the planet Earth eg. Wars, earthquakes, and famines.Mat24 About the future happening in the sky: moon turning red, the sun being darkened…etc (Mat24:29) 🎤We rarely hear from the pulpit about the church in these last days, as forecasted in the scriptures. "But realize this, that in the last days, difficult times will come. [2] For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, [3] unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, [4] treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [5] holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these.  -2 Tim 3:1-5 Verses like these are not very pleasant to hear hence it is rarely talked about or preached. In fact, verses that speak about the believe...

Unbiblical Doctrine: Forgive yourself.

Image
We all need forgiveness. - Jesus said everyone who realizes that he is sick , goes to the doctor. Similarly the one who recognizes that he is a sinner goes to the one who Saves ( Jesus - THE REDEEMER ). When we first heard the gospel , we were convicted of our sins and we called upon Jesus to forgive our sins which we did very eagerly and earnestly. Are we reminded sometimes of our sins even after we have confessed our sins to God? Yes , cause we have an enemy namely Satan and the flesh. Satan is called the accuser of the brethren. The Bible tells us to “ Resist the devil “ ( James 4:7 ) - don't take his advice or suggestions, for he is a liar and the master of all lies. When we are reminded of the past , remember that  🔹we cannot forgive our own sins but Jesus can.( Matt 9:6).  🔹The Pharisees were scripturally right , when they said only God can forgive our sins ( Mark 2:7 ) They were not aware that Jesus was - God Manifested in flesh. 🔹When David sinned , Nathan ...

Freedom from generational curses

Image
Freedom from generational curses The gospel often speaks of a life, which leads us to a life of freedom ( deliverance ) from the power of Sin, Satan, and the world. Instead of focussing on the real freedom ( John 8:32 - whom the Son sets free, he shall be free indeed. Satan has deceived the believers and got them busy to break the bondage of curses.  Should a believer live under the fear of curses ? ? Why should we, when Christ has taken the consequences of our curses on the cross? What a pity it would be if a child of God ( who does not want to continue in sin - Rom 6:1) is living under the guilt of his past sins. (or yesterday's sins ) . What would be the remedy in this case? Jesus is the answer - He died for our sins. ( Gal 1:4,2 cor 5:21,1 pet 3:18, Rom 5:8). Jesus is the answer If the answer to the past sins problem is Jesus who died on the cross. Then We must also know that He is the answer to our curses? He took our curses on the cross. ( Gal 3:13) Paul asked the ...
